It is now just eight weeks to go until the Tour of Britain arrives in Cheltenham on Saturday 9 September and the Cheltenham Festival of Cycling kicks off. As the Cheltenham Festival of Cycling draws nearer the town will soon start to feel the festival spirit taking over. The streets will be decorated with the lime green bikes from the bike trail and business owners are being encouraged to adopt cycling themed window displays and bunting to create a festival atmosphere.

On the day, more than 120 cycling pros including the world’s cycling elite will zip through town on two wheels past some of the most stunning scenery that Cheltenham has to offer, with a route that passes the racecourse, Pittville park and ends with a celebratory finish in our gorgeous Regency town centre. The televised event will be supported with market stalls, family activities, and street food in what is sure to be the event of the year.

Thing are really starting to gear up now as we have had more activities and events confirmed for the day which is shaping up to be full of fun, thrills and excitement for all. Included on the day will be a dedicated KidsZone at Pittville Park, a Street Fair on the Promenade and then the Race Village and finish line at Imperial Gardens.

Keep your eyes peeled as details about what’s happening on the day will be available here soon.
